Diya Programmes When Diya was started back in 2005, the objective was to mobilize funds and provide assistance to social organizations which do not attract adequate patronage. From our humble motto, we have grown and diversified into a number of platforms. The last three-and-a-half years have seen Diya evolve from an informal group doing charity work to a registered organization with clear focus on education and empowerment. This evolution in some ways mirrors the gradual development in the outlook of the core group running the operations.
