The activities of the P. M. Nagar tuition center received a major boost on Independence Day 2006, with the inauguration of the Students’ Library set up by Diya. After weeks of meticulous planning and concerted effort, we were finally ready, to formally unveil the library at the Thiruvalluvar Pathasalai in and dedicate it to the local community.

The inauguration was part of a simple ceremony which started with flag hoisting, followed by a March Past by the local school children. Mr. Bharath, the gentleman who runs the Pathasalai (tuition center), made a short speech in which he urged the kids to make the best use of the new facilities being made available to them. The library was then formally declared open to the public.
